Chapter 3: RARE Hooks Up with The Hook Pusher

Collaborators: The Hook Pusher (THP - Dianne Clinton)

It doesn't get more "Windsor" than with Dianne Clinton. Dianne has been working with crochet for 10 years right here in Windsor. So it's no surprise that her craft has evolved into the dopeness that it is today.

I've become acquainted with THP's work through her Instagram page. Her page is filled with stories of satisfied customers and uniquely crafted accessories. She is always busy fulfilling commissioned works for her loyal customers. In fact, I recently purchased two beautiful caps from her for my baby nieces - which they love!

Our collabo came about when I bumped into THP at the Walkerville Night Market. I mentioned to her that I loved her work, and thought it would be really cool if we could do a collaboration for the fall/winter. The result would be RARE's very first product made entirely in Windsor.

About 2 days later, I received a message (well, about 20 messages) from her with about 20 different yarn samples to choose from. I knew right then and there, this woman means business!

After a few meetings and perusals of yarn colours, The "City Scarf" was born - a stylish, versatile, handmade masterpiece available in a variety of different colours. Handmade crochet with handmade and hand-stamped buttons - the devil is truly in the details.

FUN FACT: THP also offers crochet classes! In fact, she will be doing some classes out of Craft Heads Brewing Company - This partnership was a direct result from our initial "City Scarf" meeting that took place at Craft Heads. Collabos FTW!
